36’ Stockland ‘Troller’ 1967

$10,000 Reduction  – time for this gal to go out with her new owners on the next adventure !

“Second Chance” underwent a complete renovation for her yacht conversion over a six-year period ending in April 2012. That conversion included; minor hull re-planking as needed, all new 110v and 12v wiring and breaker panels were installed, new steel fuel tanks, new waste and water plumbing systems in place, a fully rebuilt six cylinder Volvo diesel was installed at “0” hours, and much, much more.

She was then run out on her ‘maiden voyage’ by her new owners – a leisurely six month summer gunkholing cruise up the Inside Passage to Juneau and home to Washington. What a great adventure !

This past September we refinished and repainted the pilot house and the aft deck ‘dog house’.  This was done both for better protection in the winter months and to give her an update to the color scheme.  After fairing and sanding, two coats of traditional colors of white/sea green/grey Interlux exterior epoxy were applied.  Built by the Stockland Boatyard in Delta, British Columbia, she retains her beautiful ‘troller’ appearance and deck gear. There is work left to be completed to finish out the aft deck house for a bunk room according to her next owner’s needs. There’s ample space on the aft deck for a small gathering of friends at dockside enjoying a crab fest and beverages. Her cozy pilot house is warmed by a hearty Dickinson stove.

Seriously stout and capable, “Second Chance” will take you wherever you dream to go offshore as you cruise our fabulous Northwest coastal waters. Her top-of-the-line navigation and electronics will get you anywhere safe and sound, and the quality of her conversion systems have been proven by rigorous use.

She’s all ready to go… Are you?

Documentation

“Second Chance” was built in Delta, British Columbia for a US fisherman in Tacoma who used her as a gill netter (formerly the ‘Carolyn Page’) for many years. She was taken out of the commercial fishing fleet in mid-2000’s as part of the Federal license and vessel “Buy-back” program that was instituted to reduce impact on fisheries stock in the U.S.

As a result of that agreement she is now a USCG Documented recreational vessel with restrictions for ‘no coastwise fisheries’ (meaning no commercial fishing). There are no restrictions on your use and enjoyment of her as a pleasure boat.

We are quite selective about the vessels we accept into our program and pursue a very rigorous process before they are listed for sale.  This begins with our preliminary introduction when we meet with the donor to discuss the condition and upkeep of their boat.  Once accepted, each new arrival undergoes a thorough examination, similar to what a marine surveyor will do.  This allows us to prioritize our attention to deferred maintenance and any repairs that may be needed.

Over the years we’ve performed just about every kind of marine repair; from simple electrical and plumbing issues to all types of appearance enhancements to even rebuilding engines.  If something is not working right we fix it, simple as that.  We prove that her electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems are correct, safe and functioning properly. By doing all this, we know these boats quite well – top to bottom – and present them fairly and honestly to buyers.  We encourage you to have our boats professionally surveyed as a part of your purchase process; by the time we’ve finished and the boat is advertised here, we are confident you’ll receive a strong report from your surveyor.

Thank you for considering PMF boats in your search !
