This boat would be great for a small family or for a novice sailor who wants a relatively simple boat with a proven reputation at a modest investment.
The 30′ Newport Model 30-1 is the forerunner of the very popular MK II series, and is now in the class of a “classic plastic” sloop from 1967.
The interior fabrics have been recently recovered, there’s lots of good storage, a LPG stove and chemical waste treatment system. Forward double berth, full quarter berth and a starboard side settee single.
She looks good for her age — clean and very functional — and has a fully rebuilt Atomic 4 engine with less than 30 hours (and a $6,000 bill …!)
She just got the hull waxed and new bottom paint, now back in the water at our moorage. We have a February hull survey available on inspection. Hard bottom inflatable with dinghy davits included.
Please call David Wallace at 206.225.3360 or email [email protected] to inspect this boat.
