SPECIAL TERMSPacific Marine Foundation is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As such, our vessel transactions require the following special owner terms: E-Bay Auction Bidding Requirements: BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: 95% positive feedback rating required to bid. Low or no-feedback bidders must prequalify by sending an email with name and phone number. We may cancel any bids that do not meet these requirements. Vessels are available for sale locally. Since there only is one, we reserve the right to cancel auctions early. Your bid is a binding contract. Do not bid unless you are prepared to complete the transaction. We leave appropriate feedback on all auctions.DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT: A refundable deposit of $2,000 via bank wire transfer or cashier's check by overnight mail is due within 48 hours of auction close. The winning bidder has 14 days from close of auction to personally inspect and/or survey the boat and make final payment by cashier's check, bank wire transfer or cash. Deposit is 100% refundable if, after survey and/or personal inspection, the vessel is found to be substantially different than represented. All information in our promotions has been provided by donor and/or surveyor. General Information These vessels are being marketed on behalf of the Pacific Marine Foundation, a Seattle nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization supporting arts and education. As donations, some of our boats are part of Pacific Marine Foundation’s charter program which includes a guaranteed option to purchase at the conclusion of the charter. Under this program, you have 100% exclusive and unrestricted right to use the vessel, upgrade it or even sell the balance of your charter agreement as you wish. At the end of the charter period, you may elect to purchase the boat by paying the remaining five percent of the originally agreed price, and title is transferred to you. During the charter period, you are responsible for all costs including registration, maintenance and insurance. There are no restrictions on where the boat can be used, and you may upgrade or modify the vessel as you wish at your own expense. If you have any questions, please contact us. |
