The boat was just hauled for bottom paint, zincs and a hull survey last month, then run up to our Seattle moorings from Tacoma. She’s got a newly-new Vetus four cylinder engine, her sails are in good condition, she’s been thoroughly cleaned and ready to go.
This Tolly is a terrific fishing boat. Huge aft deck with plenty of space to use downriggers and troll or to go crabbing.

She’s the kind of boat you want when the salmon are running and your buddies want to go out; fast, dependable, safe, well designed for fishing, with twin Nissan-Chrysler 6 cyl. diesels.

A very beautiful, sleek model designed by Phillipe Briand and built by Jenneau. She has been impeccably maintained by former owners with consistent attention to regular maintenance and upkeep. A very rare boat, seldom ever seen in the Northwest.
Entering from the cockpit to the main salon with dining settee on the port side and an auxiliary helm station and nav table to starboard. The settee seats six in comfort and the table drops to form a large double berth. The galley is forward to stbd., with the head to port and the master stateroom double berth forward. There is also a double sized quarter berth to starboard beneath the cockpit, and all have custom mattresses for a comfortable night.
The 42′ Grand Banks trawler is a true “Classic”, the standard for all other designs that followed.
This “Salish Trader” is in excellent condition. She was very well maintained by her former owner over twenty years and spent all of those years under cover in cold, fresh water. She has only 1,650 hours on her twin Lehmans and also has an Onan 7.5kw genset.
The interior finishes are excellent and the cabinetry is first-rate. She shows very little wear to her interior which was thoroughly deep-cleaned again last month. The ample dining settee was recently in a plush off-white and all of the bunk mattresses have been recently recovered in a pleasant plum fabric. The white vinyl flybridge cushion set is in very fine shape.

Must see in Seattle! This beautiful, well kept Silverton Convertible will make any owner proud. This boat is in absolutely excellent condition inside and out! Twin Chrysler 318’s with 1,100 hours deliver 225 HP each for comfortable, fast cruise at 18 kts. The salon layout has been reconfigured for more galley space, and all of the interior upholstery and carpeting has been replaced.
The salon couch and dining settee both fold out to double berths plus two adults in vee berth. The bridge seat seats and convertible bench vinyl seats are nearly new, and the exterior canvas window coverings and bridge weather cover are in great shape. New bottom paint and hull survey completed in July, 2010.
This is a very unusual and special sailboat. “Beowoulf” was completely restored from the keel up in 2000-’01 by a knowledgeable yachtsman and experienced offshore sailor. When completed, she was the featured yacht in California’s “Latitudes and Attitudes – Seafaring Special” publication of November 2001.
The natural elements and a subsequent owner with too little time means she is now in need of some topsides varnish to restore her former luster. We received the boat in March. We have done new bottom paint and zincs, a professional hull survey and a thorough cleaning inside and out. Lockers and storage areas have been repainted inside, all mechanical and electrical systems inspected and all of the berths and cushions were removed and professionally cleaned.
Three Private sleeping areas, three full heads w/showers and pro-designed aircraft style space utilization combine to make her the “Biggest” 50′ boat you’re likely to find! Starting with hull plans drawn by noted Naval Architect Bruce Roberts and using his considerable skills as a professional engineer, her builder created a uniquely comfortable, custom-built solid steel trawler yacht.
Pride of ownership is readily apparent, including an abundant use of exotic woods and contrasting-tone wooden inlays in her hand-crafted interior.
Her hull is a full quarter inch steel plating on 22″ frames and 12″ longitudinals. The keel has a four inch tube filled with 4,000 pounds of lead for ballast and stability, with steel skeg protection for running gear.
“SEA MYTH” is a solid steel, sturdy passage-maker with the conveniences and interior volume found in larger boats. Her value is further enhanced by low hour-repower, numerous ‘extras’ and fine electronics. Run lightly after a substantial 2003 – 04 refit, she’s nicely equipped for comfortable cruising and living aboard.
“SEA MYTH” continues in top shape because her experienced former owner provided knowledgeable, ongoing upkeep.
Except ‘Broadside”, ALL photos were taken in June 2010. SEA MYTH is Available with SPECIAL OWNER TERMS.
